Standard Block Plane

We now offer a standard block plane in the Veritas® line, based on the same design as our low-angle block plane (P2201)
Preferred for general-purpose work, the 20° bed angle plus the 25° bevel angle on the bevel-up blade result in an effective cutting angle of 45°, the same as found in most bench planes. A low-profile lever cap results in a plane that fits the hand well, at only 1/8" higher than its low-angle sibling.
Mechanically, it shares the same features: a combined blade advance and lateral adjust, blade guide screws, an adjustable nosepiece, a 6" x 2" footprint, and a 1/8" thick by 1-5/8" wide A2 tool steel blade.
