Leigh Joint Templates for Dovetail Jigs

Finger joints, also called box joints, add visually striking symmetrical design to corner assemblies. Unlike dovetails, finger joints do not interlock mechanically but their enormous glue surface area makes them as strong as dovetails throughout the life of today’s modern adhesives. Leigh’s versatile 24" F3 Finger Joint Template is the most comprehensive and accurate jig of its kind. The F3 produces 11 sizes of square finger joints from 3/32" to 1/2" and the F3 can also produce three sizes of square half-blind finger joints. The F3 Template has three comb sizes: 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2". Each comb can produce joints in the comb size and smaller or larger joints. For example, the 5/16" comb produces 5/32", 5/16" and 5/8" joints. Similarly, the 3/8" comb produces 3/32", 3/16", 3/8" and 3/4" joints. 1/8", 1/4", 1/2" and 1" joints are all possible using the 1/2" comb. And that’s not all. Each of the three combs can produce unique square half-blind finger joints.

e-Bush Accuracy

Leigh’s unique patented e-Bush, provided with the F3, guarantees a precisely fitted finger joint every time.

Joint fit is easily and precisely controlled using Leigh’s patented e-Bush System.
Rotating the barrel of the e-Bush (left or right between 0 and 10) increases or decreases its active diameter. Each increment on the face of the guidebush equals a .002" adjustment to joint fit. Using a setting between the marks adjusts joint fit by a mere 1/1000 of an inch!
The e-Bush is standard equipment with every F3. In fact, there are three e-Bushes included with every F3 Template, one for each comb size. All eBushes mount directly to many router bases. Some routers may require a Leigh template guidebush adaptor. See Guidebush Chart.

These fluid, curvy shapes are unique relatives of the traditional dovetail joint. Virtually impossible to achieve by hand, all 6 Isoloc Joint shapes available can be created with relative ease whether you're a master or an apprentice. All you need is your router, a single 8mm straight cutter & any Leigh D-series 610mm Dovetail Jig plus one important extra; an Isoloc Joint Template pattern, Isoloc joints are adjustable for tightness of fit & have imperial & metric measurement.
Each Isoloc Template comes standard with Leigh's own patented Variable Guidebush System (VGS). This threaded Guiderush fits to one of the supplied Leigh VGS holders, which in turn fits to the base of your router or to an adaptor. Threading the Guidebush in or out of the holder with the supplied pin wrench changes the active diameter of the Guidebrush, which in turn adjusts the joint tightness. Only 1/8" of a turn of the bush will adjust the joint tightness by less than 0.001"
