This Stabila levelling base forms an absolutely true surface on which a precision level can be laid exactly flat without any bearing play. The surface is aligned exactly horizontally by turning the level all the way around and setting two adjusting screws. This rules out the possibility of inaccuracies.

The work is particularly easy when you use the STABILA NL levelling rod:
1. Align the rods zero mark to the laser beam.
2. Move the receiver on the levelling rod to bring it back in line with the laser beams height at the new measurement point.
3. The height difference plus or minus can now be read from the NLs scale
