Boss White & PTFE Tape

Boss White is well known as a non-poisonous pipe jointing compound which is clean and easy to apply, it acts as a lubricant whilst the joint is being assembled and tightened and does not set hard enabling easy dismantling for subsequent alterations to the pipework.

Boss White conforms to BS6956 Part 5, 1992.
The compound is lead free and incombustible and will not deteriorate.

Suitable for use on compressed air, natural gas, steam and non potable hot and cold water services.

BossSuper Green conforms to BS6956 Part 5, 1992.
For use on potable drinking water and both hot and cold water services with pressures up to 7 Bar and temperatures up to 200 degrees C.
The compound is ideal for applying to all types of joints on pipework where the quality of the water has to be maintained and the taste unimpared by contact with the compound.

Boss Green is a water Byelaws Scheme approved product.

Similar to standard PTFE tape but an increased thickness.

Supplied in spools with tape sizes 5m long by 12mm wide by 0.2mm thick.

This tape satisfies demands of BGC IM/16 and is suitable for town gas, natural gas and LPG.

Temperature range - 20ºC to + 200ºC.

Meets the requirements of BS7786 Grade H (High Density)
